GOLIL tied up with Mahindra & Mahindra Limited for supplying lubricants
Gulf Oil Lubricants India Ltd on 8 September 2014 tied up with Mahindra & Mahindra Limited.
Hinduja group company Gulf Oil Lubricants India Ltd (GOLIL) on 8 September 2014 tied up with Mahindra & Mahindra Limited (M&M).
Under the agreement, GOLIL is tasked for developing a dedicated line of products for the M&M tractors.
Highlights of the deal
• Gulf Oil Lubricants India Ltd will manufacture and supply Mahindra Genuine Oil under the brand name Mahindra M-Star Super for Mahindra tractors.
• Gulf Oil will also manufacture and supply Mahindra-Gulf co-branded lubricant line for the bazaar segment under the brand name Gulf XHD M Tractor based on M&M's MKM (Mileage ka Master) platform.
Gulf Oil Lubricants India Ltd (GOLIL)
The Chemical Hub of Hinduja Group was created when Gulf Oil India Limited merged with IDL Industries Limited on 1 January 2002. The merger enabled the Company to leverage the large marketing networks of lubricants and industrial explosives businesses.
IDL Industries Limited was renamed as Gulf Oil Corporation Limited with the merger of Gulf Oil India’s business.
On 1 April 2008 the business of specialty chemicals Division was transferred to IDL Speciality Chemicals Limited through a scheme of arrangement sanctioned by the High Court of Andhra Pradesh at Hyderabad.
