India has notified the International Cricket Council of their reluctance to visit Pakistan for the ICC Champions Trophy, which is set for February or March of next year, according to the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).
"The PCB has received an e-mail from the ICC, stating that the BCCI has informed them that their team will not travel to Pakistan for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025," the PCB stated in a statement.
PCB’s Stance on the Matter
PCB chairman Mohsin Naqvi stated on Friday that Pakistan would reveal its strategy once they received written confirmation from the ICC, however, the PCB did not comment more on the ICC email.
Ind to Not Visit Pak For Champions Trophy 2025?
The BCCI already hinted at India's inability to visit the neighboring country to the international cricket organization. As per the media sources, BCCI cited security reasons for this decision. This has left the PCB with little choice except to hold the Champions Trophy under the "Hybrid Model."

According to a BCCI official, the BCCI has notified the international organization that it will not be visiting Pakistan for this ICC event. It will be up to the ICC to update the host country on the situation before finalizing the tournament's schedule. The convention must reveal the schedule 100 days before the event starts.
However, the PCB Chairman has already stated that the 'Hybrid Mode' for this Champions Trophy is unacceptable to Pakistan.
Where will the Champions Trophy 2025 be Held?
As per the official notification Champions Trophy is set to be held in Pakistan in 2025. However, after India's reluctance to visit Pakistan for the match, PCB will have to organize the event in Hybrid Mode.
Dubai is the ideal venue for India's games because it can accommodate the most people out of the three stadiums and has all the necessary facilities in place after hosting the Women's T20 World Cup last month.
As previously announced, India will play all of its games in Dubai, including the highly anticipated India vs. Pakistan match.
No Ind Vs Pak Match in Pakistan
Since 2008, when Mahendra Singh Dhoni was captain, India has not sent a cricket team to Pakistan. Pakistan visited India for the 50-over World Cup last year, the T20 World Cup in 2016, and a bilateral white-ball series in 2012–13.
