A 19-minute fictional Hindi film Kavi, was nominated in the Short Film category (Live Action) for the 2010 Oscars. The film directed by American filmmaker Gregg Helvey and co-produced by Harish Amin was shot in the brick kilns of Panchgani, Maharashtra. The film is about the boy Kavi who rebells to break from the bonded labour imposed on him by the kiln bosses.
