Krishan Kant Paul sworn-in as Governor of Manipur

Meghalaya Governor, Dr. Krishan Kant Paul was sworn–in as the Governor of Manipur at the Raj Bhawan Durbar Hall in Imphal.

Meghalaya Governor, Dr. Krishan Kant Paul was sworn–in as the Governor of Manipur on 15 September 2014. His oath of the office and secrecy was administered by the Manipur High Court Chief Justice Laxmikant Mohapatra at the Raj Bhawan Durbar Hall in Imphal.


Paul was given the additional charge of Manipur by the President on 11 September 2014 after resignation of Vinod Kumar Duggal as Governor of Manipur and Mizoram. The President appointed him at the post to discharge the functions of the Governor of Manipur and Mizoram, in addition to his own duties. He will be handling the additional charge till a regular arrangement for the office of the Governor of Manipur and Governor of Mizoram is made.
