Planning Commission of India approved the financial allocation for different states for the financial year 2012-13. The outlay were finalized in separate meetings held between the Planning Commission Deputy Chairman Montek Singh Ahluwalia and Chief Ministers of various states including Maharashtra, Punjab, Tamil Nadu, Assam, Chhattisgadh.
Following are the details of outlay for the various states for the fiscal year 2012-13:
Assam – 10500 crore rupees
Maharashtra - 45000 crore rupees
Punjab - 14000 crore rupees
Tamil Nadu - 28000 crore rupees
Chhattisgadh - 23480 crore rupees
Manipur - 3500 crore rupees
Madhya Pradesh - 28000 crore rupees
