Prime Minister of Thailand, Yingluck Shinawatra visited India on24-26 January 2012. She was the chief guest for the 63rd Republic Day Ceremony. This was her first visit to India since assuming office in August 2011. India and Thailand signed 6 agreements during this visit.
The visit took place in the backdrop of 65th anniversary of India-Thailand bilateral diplomatic relations as well as 20 years of India’s enhanced engagement with the ASEAN (1992-2012).
