Government Holidays 2025 in Telangana: The Telangana government has released a list of all the festivals, Sundays, and optional holidays in 2025. CS Shanti Kumari oversaw the issuance of the JVO. Sundays and Saturdays are included in the list of holidays.
It has been decided to make August 8, the second Saturday in February, a working day since January 1, 2025, as a public holiday.

List of Optional Holidays 2025
State government employees can choose up to five Optional Holidays in the year 2025, no matter their religion. They just need to apply for these days off ahead of time.

Separate Holiday Guidelines for Schools
As per the sources, the Telangana government will soon release a separate guideline for public works employees, public sector organizations, and schools. In the event that festivals are based on moon sightings or other factors, and causes them to shift, news will be broadcast on television and in newspapers.
