Union Rail Budget 2014-15: New Trains

Railway Minister Sadananda Gowda introduced several new trains on different routes while announcing his maiden Rail Budget 2014-15 in the Lok Sabha.

Rail Budget 2014-15Sadananda Gowda, the Union Railway Minister on 8 July 2014 presented his maiden Rail Budget 2014-15 in the Lok Sabha. This was also the first rail budget of the Narendra Modi led NDA government.

In the budget, Gowda announced introduction of 5 Jansadharan Trains, 5 Premium Trains, 6 AC Express Trains, 27 Express Trains, 8 Passenger Trains, 2 MEMU services and 5 DEMU services. Apart from this, Gowda also proposed to extend the run of 11 existing trains. The list of new trains is
