Julian Assange signed a book deal for about £1.5 million pounds.

WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange signed a book deal for about £1.5 million pounds on 26 December 2010. By writing the book he will earn him more than £1 million pounds in advance and serialisation rights. The book will provide an account of his own life and the activities of his controversial whistleblower website, WikiLeaks. The book will be published by Canongate in Britain and Alfred A. Knopf in America. Assange's objective of writing this book is to pay for legal suits as well as keep WikiLeaks afloat. Assange is currently on bail while fighting extradition to Sweden to face allegations of sexual assault brought by two Swedish women.
