The FIFA 2026 World Cup has now reached its quarter final stage with only 8 teams standing out of the total 48. This is the biggest World Cup in FIFA history as for the first time 48 teams participated and now only France, Morocco, Spain, Belgium, Norway, England, Argentina, and Switzerland fight for the title.

Among all the quarterfinal matches, one clash has gained the attention of football fans all around the world. Norway will be facing England on 11 July 2026 in Miami and this match will be bringing two of the best strikers against each other which are Erling Haaland of Norway and Harry Kane of England.

This is a very crucial season for Norway as they are playing after 28 years. The team made its last appearance in the format in the year 1998. Moreover, the team is looking forward to lifting its maiden title. 

The team beat Iraq 4-1 and Senegal 3-2 in the group stage where Haaland scored twice in each game. In the knockout round, Norway beat Ivory Coast 2-1 in the Round of 32 and Haaland scored the winning goal. Then Norway saw its biggest win ever, a 2-1 victory over five-time champions Brazil in the Round of 16.
On the other hand, England defeated Croatia, Ghana, and Panama in the Group L stage. In the Round of 32, England defeated DR Congo 2-1 where Harry Kane shot a header and helped the team win the match. 

In the Round of 16, they faced co-hosts Mexico at the Azteca Stadium and Harry scored a penalty here which is why Mexico lost to England.
