The IPL 2025 auction was a significant event, with 182 players sold for a staggering total of ₹639.15 crore. The highest bid was for Rishabh Pant, who was acquired by the Lucknow Super Giants for ₹27 crore, setting a new record.
Following closely was Shreyas Iyer, sold to the Punjab Kings for ₹26.75 crore. On the other end of the spectrum, the least expensive player was Vaibhav Suryavanshi, a 13-year-old bought by the Rajasthan Royals for just ₹1.1 crore.
Additionally, 392 players remained unsold, highlighting the competitive nature of this year's auction.
