India managed to obtain a total of six medals in the Paris Olympics 2024 campaign. The country's Tokyo campaign made it bag seven medals in all.

In the Olympics campaign this time, Manu Bhaker won two bronze medals in shooting. One of which was in team with Sarabjot Singh and the other one in individual. Neeraj Chopra won silver in javelin throw. The men's hockey team of the country defeated Spain to get bronze. In wrestling, Aman Sehrawat won a bronze.

Here, we list the cash proces that the players received after bringing laurels to the nation.

Men's Hockey Team

The men's hockey team won a cash prize of Rs 15 lakh for every member. This was declared by Hockey India. Additionally, an amount of Rs 7.5 lakh was awarded to every member of the support staff.

Mohan Manjhi, the chief minister of Odisha declared a prize of Rs 4 crore for defender Amit Rohidas, along with Rs 10 lakh for every support staff member and Rs 15 lakh for every player.

Punjab chief minister Bhagwant Mann also declared a cash prize of Rs 1 crore for every squad member from the state. 

 

Neeraj Chopra

As of now, there is no official announcements for the cash prizes to be given to Neeraj Chopra. However, in the Tokyo campaign, he received Rs 6 crore from the Haryana government after winning gold.

 

Sarabjot Singh

Sarabjot has been awarded with a cheque of Rs 22.5 lakh through the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports' cash award scheme. Sarabjot won a mixed team shooting bronze with Manu.

Aman Sehrawat

Aman won a bronze medal. He will be getting a cash prize for bringing laurels to the nation, but the cash award isn't decided yet.

 

Swapnil Kusale

Swapnil won bronze in the men's 50m rifle 3 positions final. He has been awarded Rs 1 crore. This was declared by Eknath Shinde, the Chief Minister of Maharashtra.

 

Manu Bhaker

Manu Bhaker has been awarded a cash prize of Rs 30 lakh. The award has been given by the Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports. The 22-year-old was also the flag bearer of India in the closing ceremony.

 

All in all, the Paris Olympics 2024 has proved to be a remarkable chapter for the athletes in India. With six prestigious medals in all, the country portrayed a commendable performance this time, albeit standing one less than the Tokyo campaign.
