TS EAMCET 2020: Aarogya Setu app or COVID-19 self-declaration mandatory to appear for Exam

The students appearing for the TS EAMCET 2020 are required to download the Aarogya Setu App or carry a self-declaration stating that they are not COVID-19 positive. Check the complete details here.

TS EAMCET 2020 Examination

According to the instructions provided by the Telangana State Council of Higher Education (TSCHE) the students appearing for the Telangana Engineering, Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test also known as TS EAMCET 2020  from July 6 to 9, 2020, are required to download the Aarogya Setu App which will show the risk factor of each students appearing for the exams. 

In case of those students who do not have a smartphone are required to sign a COVID-19 self-declaration stating that they are not positive of COVID-19 or are potential carriers of the virus.

As per the instructions provided, the students appearing for the entrance examinations are required to show their Aarogya Setu App Dashboard to the security at the examinations centre. As per the instructions given, it is mandatory for students to download the Aarogya Setu App. in case the students do not have a smartphone, they are required to bring along with them a signed declaration stating that they are not positive of the virus and that they are not carriers of the same. The declaration will be provided along with the TS EAMCET 2020 admit card, which has to be shown to the security guard at the examination centre. 

Authorities have also stated that an isolation test centres is also being planned for the students who may be suffering from the virus or have COVID-19 symptoms and still wish to appear for the entrance exams. 

Although students appearing for the exams have demanded a postponement, the TSCHE has decided to conduct the exams. Officials have denied rumours stating that the tests might be postponed adding that all the necessary precautions are being taken to ensure the safety of the candidates. The officials have stated that the examination centres will be sanitized after each examination. The officials have also added that the intentions of the TSCHE is to save the academic year of the students and commence the admissions process for the academic year at the earliest.
