Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Ahmedabad has instigated a leadership programme for managers and school principals. The programme entitled “Strategic Leadership for Schools in a changing environment” will be conducted from 14th October to 18th October, 2019. The programme is primarily being conducted for School leaders or Principals of Senior Secondary Schools (schools upto Class 12) affiliated with any state, national or international education board.
The leadership programme will focus on topics such as element of visionary leadership, strategic management and decision making, introduction and managing of changes at an institutional level, counselling for happiness and academic excellence, innovations in schools, issues in teacher development, right to education and its implications, etc.
Nominations for the leadership programme are being accepted by IIM Ahmedabad until 30th September, 2019. In cases where the participant is likely to gain significantly from the programme, an organizational scholarship is required. Detailed information about the programme can be obtained by individuals and organizations from Executive Education Officer, IIM Ahmedabad.
CBSE affiliated schools’ principals, can submit their applications until 12th September, 2019 through the form forwarded by the board. The fee for the programme is Rs. 80, 000/-, excluding 18% GST for each participant. The faculty at IIM Ahmedabad has developed the programme after extensive and careful in-depth research about schools in the Indian context.
