IIM Indore Summer Placement 2021: 573 Students get hired for Internships, Highest Offer reaches Rs 4 lakh

IIM Indore Summer Placement: As per the updates, the students of the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Indore have got the highest offer of up to Rs 4 lakh stipend for the summer internship placement. A total of 573 students from two major courses of the IIM participated in the placement process for the summer internship. They were offered a median stipend of Rs 2 lakh for a two-month internship. These students include students of IIM's two-year Post-Graduate Program in Management (equivalent to MBA) and five-year Integrated Program in Management.

The Summer Placement Report published by IIM Indore also shares some key and important statistical highlights with us. The report states that the institute has seen rise in average median stipend being offered to the students by upto 9%. On similar lines, the average stipend has risen by 7% while the increase in the top 100 offers is noted at 4%. In terms of sector-wise placement, the details can be found in the chart below:

Top Recruiters in IIM Indore Summer Placement

This batch is the largest in terms of the number of students among the IIMs across the country, the spokesperson said. More than 150 employers from India and abroad including Google, Amazon, American Express, Boston Consulting Group, Barclays, Cipla, and TCS, showed interest in providing summer internship opportunities to the IIM-Indore students.

IIM Ahmedabad Placement

Earlier in the last week of September 2021, the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Ahmedabad completed annual placements for a one-year Post-Graduate Programme in Management for Executives (PGPX). The placement was held for the 2020-21 session for the 15th batch in July end. The annual placement process was held virtually. Around 137 PGPX students have been placed in top companies of healthcare, IT and BFSI and consulting sectors. As per the updates from IIM Ahmedabad, out of 137 students, 119 were facilitated through the placement system, 17 received offers on their own and 1 took up entrepreneurship.

Around 120 organizations participated offering the roles of CEO and Head of Department to the PGPX graduates. IT companies were the largest recruiter this year, hiring 37% of the batch followed by Healthcare, BFSI and Consulting sectors recruiting 13%, 12% and 10% of the PGPX students, respectively. Top recruiters included companies such as Google, Microsoft, Amazon, MIT Group, Indigene, OneFitPlus, Mastercard, SAP India, L&T Infotech who offered positions to the students ranging from the CEO to Operations Managers.
