Maharashtra FYJC CET 2021: As per the reports, the dates for the class 11th admission test or FYJC will be released only after the results of the SSC exam. The Maharashtra government told the Bombay High Court. The announcement came when the government was responding to a bench at the Bombay High Court on a petition by a class 10th student of the Indian Certificate of Secondary Education (ICSE) board.
The petition, as per reports, seeks to quash the May 28 notification that declares "admissions to standard XI/ junior college in Maharashtra will be based on CET that will be based on SSC board syllabus." As per the updates, the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE) will release the class 10/SSC results by 15th July 2021.
Conduction of CET
As per the older updates, the state took this call as the class 10 board exams had been cancelled and an alternative way of admissions to FYJC had to be explored. This exam will be conducted for students of all Boards (State Boards, CBSE, CISCE, All International Boards, etc). According to the official notice, the students who will appear in the CET will be given priority in all junior colleges.

However, the CET is only an optional exam for FYJC admissions. Students who wish to appear in it will get admissions in FYJC based on the merit score in CET. While those who choose not to appear will get admissions based on marks secured in class 10th exam results. The government of Maharashtra had previously announced the assessment criteria to prepare the SSC results.
