MP Board 10th 12th Examination: The Madhya Pradesh Board of Secondary Education has changed the examination marking scheme of class 10 and 12 board examinations to be conducted. According to the latest report, candidates appearing for the class 10 and 12 board examinations in MP now have to attempt the examination for 80 marks instead of 100.
Along with this, the board has also changed the passing marks for the examination. Candidates now need 27 marks to pass an examination instead of 33. It has to be noted that although the board had made the change last year itself the students could not benefit from it due to lack of publicity. The board has however trained the principals and the issued guidelines to the officers at the District Education Department.
Class 10 Practical Examination
The board has also included practical examinations for subjects like Hindi, English, Mathematics, Social Science apart from Science for the class 10 students. The practical examinations for the class 10 students were conducted for 25 marks for the Science subject only. Now the practical examinations for all the subjects will be conducted for 20 marks which means that instead of 75 marks, the main examinations of science will be conducted for 80 marks.
Class 12 Practical Examination
The examination marking scheme has also changed for the class 12 practical examinations. While earlier the class 12 students in Science, Arts and Home Science appeared for a 75 marks main examination, they now have to appear for 70 marks main examination instead. This means that the practical examinations will be conducted for 30 marks instead of 25 marks.
The board has now announced that practical examination will be conducted for commerce students as well for the class 12 examination. The practical examination for commerce students will be conducted for 20 marks which means that the main examination will be conducted for 80 marks.
The Madhya Pradesh Board like other boards including CBSE will now be conducting two separate examinations – Theory and Practical. While the theory examination will be conducted for 80 marks, the practical will be conducted for 20. The new marking scheme will be implemented from the coming board examination onwards.
