National Essay Writing Competition Registrations until March 15

Leaders for Tomorrow and the Press Club of India in association with Voice of Kids, Korean Culture Centre Goethe-Institut and Development Channel are conducting a National-Level Essay Writing Competition. The students from class 8 to 12 will be eligible to participate in the competition. 

National Essay Writing Competition

Leaders for Tomorrow and the Press Club of India in association with Voice of Kids, Korean Culture Centre, Goethe-Institut, and Development Channel are conducting a National-Level Essay Writing Competition for the High School students in the country. The students eligible to apply for the essay writing competition can complete the registrations for the essay writing process on or before March 15, 2021, while the students can submit the essay by March 31, 2021.

The students participating in the Essay Writing Competition are required to submit an entry fee of Rs. 100 online along with the essays. Students from class 8 to 12 from schools across the country are eligible to apply for the essay writing competition. According to the details provided, the winners of the Essay Writing Competition will receive Rs. 20,000 as prize money.

Essay Writing Competition Details

The students participating in the Essay writing competition can write their essays on major development issues faced by the country with respect to achieving the goals of the United Nations Sustainable Development. The essays written are required to identify a problem and explore a potential solution for the same.

The essays can also cover the challenges of achieving quality education for all, a sustainable development goal compared to the COVID-19 pandemic and its disruption of the traditional model of education. The essays can also address new ways for achieving gender equality or the issue of responsible consumption and production and reduction of waste generated.

Awards for the National Level winners

The awards to the competition winners will be distributed at the National, state, and school levels while special prizes will also be given to the top 100 essays. Rs. 20,000 will be awarded to National level winners while the second prize winners will receive Rs, 15,000. Students acquiring third place will be awarded Rs. 10,000. Students will also be given medals, certificates, and 100 percent scholarship for an online language course for the children and young people offered by Goethe-Institut India. A consolation prize of Rs. 5000 will also be given to the students.

Prizes for State Level Winners

Winners at the state level will receive Rs, 2000 while the second and third place winners will receive Rs. 1000 and Rs. 500 respectively along with medals and certificates. Winners at the school level will be receiving medals and certificates. 

The top 100 winners of the competition will also get an opportunity to [participate in a final essay writing competition conducted with Lorean Culture Centre India. The first and second prize winners will also get a fully sponsored week-long trip to South Korea.
