The Central Universities Common Entrance Test (CUCET 2015) is the common entrance test for admissions to the various courses in Ten Central Universities of the country namely Haryana, Jammu, Jharkhand, Kashmir, Kerala, Punjab, Rajasthan and Tamil Nadu. M.Tech Programmes are offered only by three central Universities - Rajasthan, Punjab and Tamilandu.
1. M.Tech in Computer Science & Engineering: B.E./B. Tech. in any branch of Engineering /MCA /M. Sc. with a valid minimum GATE Score in Computer Science and Engineering. Candidates with valid GATE scores are exempt from CUCET 2015.
Central University of Punjab 1. M.Tech in Computer Science and Technology 2. M.Tech in Computer Science and Technology (Cyber Security)
B.Tech./B.E.in Computer Science and Engineering / InformationTechnology / Electronics / Electronics&Communication from a recognized Indian or foreign university with a minimum of 55%marks. Preference will be given to candidates having valid GATE score.
Central University of Tamilnadu:
1. M.Tech in Material Science and Nano Technology: First Class M.Sc. in Physics/ Chemistry/ Applied Physics/ Applied Chemistry/ Material Science/ Nano Science / Nano Technology or BE/ B.Tech. (except Computer Science / IT). Minimum marks in the qualifying examination for admission is 60% for general category, 55% for OBC (Non-creamy Layer) and 50% for SC/ST candidates. The candidates should not have completed 30 years of age as on 01-07-2015.
2. M.Tech in Energy and Environmental Technology: First Class M.Sc. in Physics/ Chemistry/ Applied Physics/ Applied Chemistry/ Material Science/ Energy & Environmental Science/ Nano Science/ Nano Technology or BE/ B.Tech. in Metallurgy/ Mechanical/ Electrical/ Civil/ Energy/ Chemical/ Environmental Engineering etc. Minimum marks in the qualifying examination for admission is 60% for general category, 55% for OBC (Non-creamy Layer) and 50% for SC/ST candidates. The candidates should not have completed 30 years of age as on 01-07-2015.
CUCET 2015 Exam Pattern:
Questions will be of Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) based on the subjects in the qualifying exam. There is no negative marking. The duration of the exam is of 2 hours. The question Paper will consist of: Part A : Language, general awareness, mathematical aptitude and analytical skills – comprising of 25 MCQs Part B: Domain Knowledge – comprising of 75 MCQs. This part may consist of three/four/five sections. Each section will have 25 questions. A candidate is required to answer a set of any three sections (75 questions).
CUCET 2015 Application Form Process:
Candidates must register online giving their Email Id, Mobile No and Name Candidates will be sent the CUCET 2015 Application No and Password via SMS and Email. Candidates have to log in and apply with details and upload their photograph and signature as specified. They will have to fill the Details and pay the fees as specified.

CUCET 2015 Counseling Process:
Candidates have to apply for the M.Tech courses at the particular university interested in after the counseling announcement Counselling will be announced on the basis of the CUCET 2015 scores and any other criteria specified by each individual university Candidates will have to attend the document verification and follow the admission procedure specified by the university.
