In order to promote marine education and technology in the State, Andhra Pradesh has signed a MoU with Russia’s State Marine Technical University. The agreement was signed at the at the port city of St. Petersburg.
On the first day of his visit to Russia, Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the State Marine Technical University Russia. The sole objective of the MoU is to promote marine education in the State.
According to Andhra Pradesh CM, the marine segment in India and Andhra Pradesh will benefit much from the collaboration. The aim is to promote inland navigation and make commercial usage of water transport.
The CM has also hinted that the State is soon going to have a Maritime University.
