CBSE has come to a decision to amass email ID and/or mobile numbers of all students studying from Class X to Class XII. The main aim of this initiative is to use ICT (information & communication technology) to keep in tune with the students.
The examination controller of CBSE, KK Choudhury wrote to CBSE schools asking email ID and/or mobile numbers of all students studying from Class X to Class XII. Students will submit data to schools and schools will thereafter upload it on CBSE's website. KK Choudhury also stated, having contact details will not only assist candidates to have latest updates but also assist the board in advance planning & judgment.
CBSE is hoping to have appropriate estimations done for number of question papers, answer books, date sheet and centers. CBSE evidently seems to be working on a fixed agenda as it has inquired schools to present these details as soon as possible, latest by Monday, 25th of August.
CBSE schools will be uploading the contact details of the students online and a special web link will become live from Monday. This data will give CBSE an idea of the number of students expected in next academic year for X and XII board examinations.
