CUET (PG) 2024 Notification: The National Testing Agency (NTA) invites applications for the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) 2024. Every student needs to clear this test to get admission into Postgraduate Programmes in Central and other participating Universities/Institutions.
The application process started on December 26, 2024, and applicants can apply online by February 10, 2024 (earlier it was January 31, 2024). This year NTA has made several changes in CUET (PG) 2024 notification. In this article, we will discuss all the key changes one by one.
CUET PG 2024 Extension of Date of Registration
The registration dates for the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) PG 2024 have been extended again. Now the revised dates are as follows:

Notable Changes in CUET (PG) 2024 Notification
The CUET PG 2024 information bulletin has all the changes that have been made this year. The major changes that have been introduced in the CUET PG 2024 are regarding the official website, registration fee, exam duration, number of questions, choice of master degree program, exam centres, etc.

The CUET PG online application link which was earlier available on cuet.nta.nic.in has been shifted to a new website i.e., pgcuet.samarth.ac.in. All the exam-related information like information bulletin, syllabus, and other things are now accessible on the new website.
CUET (PG) 2024 Application Fees
This year, NTA has increased the registration fee for all the categories. The table given below shows the category-wise difference in application fees:

For applicants outside India, the application fee is Rs 6000 and for additional paper, they have to pay Rs 2000. Earlier these fees were Rs 5000 and Rs 1500 respectively.
CUET (PG) 2024 Exam Centres
This year NTA has reduced the number of exam cities in India. Now The CUET PG will be conducted in 300 cities which was 313 cities in 2023. However, the number of overseas exam centres will remain the same. The candidates can choose two exam cities as per their suitability.
CUET (PG) 2024 Exam Pattern
As per the information brochure, now the CUET PG 2024 exam will comprise only domain knowledge questions. This means the general ability section has been removed from the CUET PG 2024 exam. So, this year instead of 100 questions the candidates will be required to answer only 75 questions.
Apart from the number of questions the agency also reduced the duration of the exam to 1 hour 45 minutes which was 2 hours earlier.
