Directorate General BSF Notified Recruitment to ASI, Head Constable & Constable Post 2013

Directorate General Border Security Force invited applications for recruitment to the post of Assistant Sub Inspector (Stenographer), Head Constable (Ministerial) and Constable (Daftry). The candidates eligible for the post can apply through prescribed format within 30 days from the date of Publication of the advertisement. The BSF is a border guarding force of the Government of India. Established on 1 December 1965, it is one of the Central Armed Police Forces. Its primary role is to guard India's international borders during peacetime and also prevent Tran’s border crime.

• Closing date for Application Forms: 30 days from the date of Publication of the advertisement
• Closing date for receipt of Applications Forms for far flung areas of Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir and North Eastern States: 45 days from the date of Publication of the advertisement

Age Limit

• Candidate’s age limit should be between 18-25 years as on the closing date for receipt of application for Constable (Daftry) post and as on 1 January 2014 for Assistant Sub Inspector (Stenographer) and Head Constable (Ministerial) post.
• Age relaxation will be applicable as per the rules.

Educational Qualification

• Assistant Sub Inspector (Stenographer): Candidates should possess 12^th or equivalent from a recognised Board or University with technical qualification.
• Head Constable (Ministerial): Candidates should possess 12^th or equivalent from a recognised Board or University with technical qualification.
• Constable (Daftry): Candidates should possess 10^th or equivalent from a recognised Board or Institution.

Application Fee

• General and OBC candidates need to pay the fee of Rs.50/- in the form of Bank Draft/Postal Order drawn in favor of authority to whom the application is addressed, payable at respective SBI/Post office at the location.
• SC/ ST Categories, Female candidates and Departmental (BSF) candidates are exempted from payment of fee. 

Pay Scale

• Assistant Sub Inspector (Stenographer): Rs.5200-20200 Grade Pay Rs.2800/- 
• Head Constable (Ministerial): Rs.5200-20200 Grade Pay Rs.2400/- 
• Constable (Daftry): Rs.5200-20200 Grade Pay Rs.2000/- 

Selection Process

Candidates will be selected on the basis of followings:

• written examination
• Physical Measurement (PST)
• Short Hand Test (only for ASI(Steno)
• Typing Speed Test (only for HC(Min)
• Documentation (Checking of Documents)
• Medical Examination
