In a recently issued notification, the Delhi University (DU) has announced that in this admission season, admission will not be made on the basis of first-come-first-serve, instead all those applicants who meets the cutoff mark and reach college within the stipulated time will be enrolled for the course.
The DU’s notification further made it clear with a warning that no student will be permitted to take admission in more than one course, simultaneously and if any student is found admitted in more than one courses or colleges at same time, his/her admission in all courses or colleges will be forfeited.
To ease the process, the university administration has directed all colleges to return back the documents without any delay, to those students who wish to cancel his/her admission and want to go to another college on declaration of subsequent cutoff lists or requires certificates for admission to those institutions that are not under DU.
Delhi University has released detailed guidelines on admission policy for 2014-15 admission season. To make the process smooth and remove any puzzlement, special admission assistance teams and monitoring committees are being arranged and set up. They shall visit colleges during the admission process to monitor, and will also assist students in admissions.
Seeing the chaos last year, DU has taken many measures for this current admission season, this year, DU colleges will have to admit all candidates who meet the cutoff criteria.
To take admission in DU this year, applicants need to report to the college of choice for admission within the given time-frame, once the cutoff list is out. Subsequently, the candidates need to fill up the college admission form as well as university enrolment form, need to undergo documents verification, and deposit them with the college along with admission fees.
