Engineering, Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test (EAMCET):
About:
The Engineering, Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test (EAMCET) 2014 is being conducted by JNT University Hyderabad (JNTUH) on behalf of Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE). This examination is the prerequisite for admission into various professional courses offered in University / Private Colleges in the state of Andhra Pradesh. About 2.8 lakhs candidates were appeared in the EAMCET-2014.

Eligibility criteria:

  • Candidates should be of Indian Nationality. Persons of India Origin (PIO), Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) Card Holders are allowed provided they meet the specified criteria.
  • Aspirants should belong to the state of Andhra Pradesh and should satisfy the Local or Non-Local status – as per the requirements of the Andhra Pradesh Education Institutions order, 1974.
  • Applicants must have passed the Intermediate Exam or equivalent with Mathematics and Physics as the main subjects along with the Bio-Technology or Chemistry or Biology as the optional subjects.
  • Candidates should obtain a minimum of 45% in 10+2 (40% for the reserved category).

  • There is no negative marking.
  • For every correct answer 1 mark will be awarded.
  • All the questions carry equal marks.
  • The question paper will be bilingual i.e. the paper will be presented in English and Telugu language.
  • The candidates to wish to write the exam in Urdu will have to write the EAMCET 2014 exam at Hyderabad Center only.
