Haryana Government to Launch ‘Digital Haryana’ Programme

Haryana Government will soon launch Information Technology (IT) mass literacy scheme (Digital Saksharta Abhiyaan) to bring in digitalization in the state. This initiative will help the people of the state to be digitally literate and the government to achieve the aim of ‘Digital Haryana’ easily.

Haryana Government will soon launch Information Technology (IT) mass literacy scheme (Digital Saksharta Abhiyaan) to bring digitalization in the state. This initiative will help the people of the state to be digitally literate and the government to achieve the aim of ‘Digital Haryana’ easily.

This programme is likely to train 1.10 lakh of people in five selected blocks, selecting one eligible person from each household. This programme will help in bringing absolute digital literacy. The programme will witness 20,000 beneficiaries being trained under Phase I by October 2015 and 90,000+ will be trained in level 1 and level 2 digital literacy courses over a period of four years.

The cost would be borne by central and state government for general and reserved category candidates respectively. The programme will commence from the month of March.
