The Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad (IIM-A) is to organize and host its third edition of summer school which will be held from 02-07 June 2014. This year the Summer school reaches out to the participants belonging to various countries of the world. Near about 80 applicants have already been picked to for the student-oriented event, among which 11 students will represent from the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) countries.
The 2014 event will offer an opportunity to the doctoral students, researchers and faculty arriving from various countries to learn and know more about the specialized research methods.
Each year, IIM-A endeavors to bring in the research method courses by means of experts from arriving from premier institutes and organizations to make the event more fruitful for participants. This endeavor let students get a chance to interact and team up for future research prospects as told by Prof. Arnab K Laha, faculty coordinator, summer school.
Taught in the lush green campus designed by the famous architect Louis Kahn, the Summer School has become an integral part of IIM Ahmedabad’s academic calendar now.
This 3rd edition of Summer School at IIM-A will also comprise light activities including documentary screening, a stress audit workshop, Heritage Walk in Old Ahmedabad by IIM-A's Heritage Club, as informed by Deepika Saluja, the student coordinator of summer school.
The workshop this year will be focusing on Quantitative Research Methods (Experiments in Business & Policy) and Qualitative Research Methods.
