India Post GDS Selection Process
India Post will recruit candidates for the Gramin Dak Sevak (GDS) positions based on their Class 10th marks. The selection process is simple, a merit list is prepared on the basis of Matriculation marks. The India Post GDS Merit List will be prepared with accuracy up to four decimal places, ensuring precise and fair selection. There will be no special preferences will be given to candidates having higher educational qualifications. The officials are expected to release India Post GDS Merit List 2024 in the last week of August 2024.

India Post GDS Selection Process 2024: Tie Resolution
In the event of a tie, preference will be given to the candidate with an earlier date of birth. Further tie-breaking criteria will prioritize candidates in the following order: ST female, SC female, OBC female, UR female, ST male, SC male, OBC male, and UR male.

The officials announced 44238 Gramin Dak Sevak vacancies for 23 circles. The last date to apply online for India Post GDS was August 5. Candidates satisfying the below mentioned eligibility criteria will be considered for the selection process.
India Post GDS Qualification: Candidates must have completed Class 10th/Matriculation/SSC with English and Maths as compulsory or elective subjects from a recognized board. Failure to meet this requirement will result in ineligibility for the India Post GDS merit list.
India Post GDS Age Limit: The minimum age limit for India Post GDS is 18 years and the maximum age limit is capped at 40 years. Age relaxation will be given to the candidates belonging to the reserved categories.
