Indian Navy Notified Recruitment for Pilot and Observer Posts 2014

Indian Navy invited applications from unmarried Indian citizens for Short Service Commission (SSC) as Pilot/Observer in the Executive Branch of the Indian Navy for Course commencing Dec 2014 at the Indian Naval Academy Ezhimala, Kerala. The eligible candidates can apply through online procedure on or before 11 April 2014.

Eligibility

(a) General Candidates: A Graduate Degree in any discipline with minimum 70% marks. Should have qualified 10+2 level with Mathematics & Physics.

(b) CPL Holders: A Graduate Degree in any discipline with minimum 60% marks. Should have qualified 10+2 level with Mathematics and Physics. The candidate must be holding valid and current CPL issued by DGCA (India)

 NOTE: Final year graduates cannot apply!

Pilot/ Observer SSC Officer in the pay starts from Rs.15600-39100 grade pay Rs.6000/- and varies as per the Rank.

Age Limit 

a)      General: Between 19 to 24 years (candidates to be born between 02 January 1991 to 01 January 1996; both dates inclusive).

b)     CPL Holders- 19 to 25 Years, born between 02 Jan 1990 and 01 Jan 1996 (Both dates inclusive)

Physical Standards

(a) Height and Weight. Minimum height for men 162.5 cms and for women 152 cms with correlated weight, leg length, sitting height and thigh length.

(b) Eye Sight. The minimum acceptable vision standard for distant vision 6/6, 6/9 correctable to 6/6, 6/6. Should not be colour/night blind.

SSC: Short Service Commission is granted for a term of 10 years, extendable to 14 years, subject to service requirements and performance/willingness of the candidate.
