About Paper
This JEE Advanced Solved Physics Paper-1 in this article consists of 18 questions divided into three sections. The questions in this paper have been asked from the complete syllabus. Each question of this paper is very important from examination point of view and has been developed very carefully by Subject Experts at Jagranjosh.
Importance of Practice Papers
Practicing sample papers, practice papers and previous years’ question papers help in assessing your preparation and time management. It will also help in increasing your marks in examination.
Few questions from the practice paper are given below:
Q. A wire, which passes through the hole in a small bead, is bent in the form of quarter of a circle. The wire is fixed vertically on ground as shown in the figure. The bead is released from near the top of the wire and it slides along the wire without friction. As the bead moves from A to B, the force it applies on the wire is
(a) Always radially outwards
(b) Always radially inwards
(c) radially outwards initially and radially inwards later
(d) radially inwards initially and radially outwards later
Sol.
Correct Option: (d)
Q9. When an electron moves in a circular path around a stationary nucleus charge at the center,
(a) electric field due to the nucleus at the electron changes
(b) the velocity of the electron changes
(c) the acceleration of the electron changes
(d) none of these
Correct Option(s): (a), (b), (c)
Sol.
Acceleration, velocity, and electric field all charge in direction although they remain same in magnitude.
Q14. A bob of mass m, suspended by a string of length l1 is given a minimum velocity required to complete a full circle in the vertical plane. At the highest point, it collides elastically with another bob of mass m suspended by a string of length l2, which is initially at rest. Both the strings are mass-less and inextensible. If the second bob, after collision acquires the minimum speed required to complete a full circle in the vertical plane, the ratio l1/l2
Sol.
The minimum velocity required to complete a full circle in the vertical plane by a bob of mass m, suspended by a string of length l = √5gl
Also, the speed at highest point is given as √gl
The initial speed of 1st bob (suspended by a string of length l1 ) is √5gl1.
The speed of this bob at highest point will be √gl1
When this bob collides with the other bob there speeds will be interchanged.
√gl1 = √5gl1
So, l1/l2 = 5
