A total of 90 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) from Maths, Physics and Chemistry will be asked in JEE Main 2019 April exam. For each correct answer, candidates will be awarded 4 marks, while for every question which is attempted incorrectly, 1 mark will be deducted from the total score. As per the analysis of previous years’ cut-off of JEE Main, appearing candidates need to attempt only 30 questions correctly in April exam to qualify for JEE Advanced 2019. If any student solves 30 questions correctly, then he/she can easily qualify to appear for JEE Advanced 2019.

From the above table it can be easily concluded that the minimum marks required to qualify for JEE Advanced is increasing year by year. In 2015, the minimum marks required to qualify for JEE Advanced was 105 for general category students. To get 105 students needed to solve 27 questions only. As per experts, the minimum qualifying marks required in JEE Main 2019 to qualify for JEE Advanced can’t be more than 100. Therefore, if students solve 30 questions correctly then they can easily qualify for JEE Advanced 2019.
