JEE Main Exam 2025: Dress Code Guidelines on Exam Day and Test Centres

JEE Main Dress Code and Test Centres 2025: The National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Mains 2025 session 2 exam from 2nd April, 2025. The NTA's rules, particularly those pertaining to the test centres and dress code, must be understood and followed by those students who have registered to take the JEE Main exam 2025. 

JEE Main 2025: Guidelines for Dress Code 

The JEE Main dress code must be followed by people sitting the exam in order to maintain security and stop misconduct. It is advised that they follow these guidelines:

• Avoid wearing sleeves on your clothing: Dress in half-sleeved shirts, t-shirts, or tops. Full-sleeved clothing is not allowed since it could be used to conceal illicit items.
• No oversized or embellished clothing: Simple, light clothing is recommended. Avoid clothing with large buttons, intricate embellishments, or a lot of embroidery.
• Sandals and slippers are the only footwear permitted. Avoid wearing shoes as they can need extra security checks.
• Watches, belts, sunglasses, jewelry, and other metallic items are strictly prohibited as accessories.

JEE Main 2025 Dress Code: Female

Females candidates must follow JEE Main dress code:

• Steals, dupattas, scarves, and metallic accessories should not be worn.
• Avoid wearing ornaments or jewelry like bracelets, earrings, and rings.
• Wear comfortable, basic clothes that are appropriate for the time of year.
• It is definitely forbidden to wear goggles, bracelets, or heavy jewelry.

JEE Main 2025 Dress Code: Male

Males candidates must follow JEE Main dress code:

• Steer clear of apparel with ornate embellishments or buckles made of metal.
• Avoid donning mufflers, caps, or any other kind of head covering.
• Wear clothing that is appropriate for the season and is lightweight and breathable.
• It is expressly forbidden to wear jewelry or accessories such as chains, bracelets, rings, or goggles.

JEE Main 2025 Necessary Items to Carry

Candidates should make sure they bring the following items on exam day in addition to adhering to the JEE Main dress code:

• Admit Card: A hard copy of the JEE Mains 2025 admit card that has been signed and photographed by the applicant.
• Verifiable Identification Proof: Keep a government-issued identification with you at all times, such as a passport, PAN card, or Aadhaar card.
• Passport-Sized Photo: You must submit a current passport-sized photo that is identical to the one you uploaded on the application.
• Stationery: Some centers may allow rough work even though the exam is administered online. Keep a clear ballpoint pen with you.

JEE Main Test Centre 2025: Documents required 

A JEE Main 2025 printed copy of the admit card that was obtained on the NTA website.

• During JEE Main 2025, one passport-sized photo (the same one that was uploaded on the online application form) will be pasted in the designated spot on the attendance sheet at the center.
• Any authorized picture ID, such as a PAN card, driver's license, voter ID, passport, Aadhaar card (with a photo), Aadhaar enrollment number, or ration card, must be original, valid, and not expired.
• If requesting a relaxation under the PwD category, a PWD certificate from the Competent Authority is required..

JEE Main 2025 Highlights of Exam Centres 

• In the information pamphlet, NTA has published a comprehensive list of exam cities for JEE Main 2025.
• In India, there are 300 exam locations.
• There are 25 test locations outside of India.
• When completing the application, candidates must choose their JEE Main exam location.
• Candidates will be assigned to JEE Main test centers based on their preferences. Slot reservations are not available for JEE Main.
