JPSC Civil Services 2026: The Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC) has reopened the online application portal for the Combined Civil Services Preliminary Competitive Examination-2025. The application portal will remain open between 26 February to 09 March 2026. The eligible candidates who haven’t yet filled the form can apply now by visiting the official website of JPSC- jpsc.gov.in. JPSC Civil Services Application Form 2026: The JPSC has re-opened the application window for the candidates to apply for the direct recruitment for civil service examination. Previously, the application window remained open between 31 January to 20 February 2026. Now, the commission has re-opened the portal which is great news for the aspirants who due to some reasons were not able to fill the application form in the previously outlined registration dates. The candidates are advised to read the detailed notification carefully before applying.

The JPSC conducts the Combined Civil Services Examination annually to recruit eligible candidates for the Group A posts in the state government. This time the commission has announced a total of 103 vacancies, which will be filled through a multi-stage selection process.

Steps to Apply for JPSC Prelims 2026

To successfully complete and submit your JPSC 2026 application, adhere to the following steps:

  • First, navigate to the official JPSC website, which is jpsc.gov.in.

  • Next, locate and select the One Time Registration (OTR) link on the homepage.

  • For login, you have to enter your mobile number, email address, or your OTR number.

  • Proceed to accurately complete all sections of the application form with the required information.

  • Pay the application fee online using methods such as net banking, credit/debit card, or UPI.

  • Finally, thoroughly check all entered details before submitting the application. It is advisable to download or print the confirmation page for your records.

JPSC Application Fee 2026

The examination fee will be collected through Credit Card / Debit Card / Net Banking / Wallet / Bharat QR / UPI. The examination fee for candidates belonging to SC/ST, Economically Weaker Section (EWS), Extremely Backward Classes (Schedule-I), Backward Classes (Schedule-II) and Scheduled Castes category is Rs. 100/- only. The examination fee for candidates belonging to ST and Scheduled Castes of Jharkhand State is Rs. 50/- only.

JPSC Eligibility Criteria 2026

Candidates should carefully review the comprehensive JPSC Civil Services notification for 2026 to confirm the eligibility requirements before submitting their application. The primary eligibility criteria are as follows:

Educational Requirements

According to the official notification, applicants must possess a degree from a university established by an Act of the Indian Parliament or State Legislature, or from other educational institutions recognized by an Act of Parliament. Alternatively, they can have a qualification deemed equivalent to a university under Section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act of 1956, or a degree from a foreign university approved by the Central Government.

Age Limit

As per the notice released by JPSC for re-opening of the application portal, the reference date to calculate the maximum age limit has also been changed. The reference date to calculate the maximum age is set at 01.08.2022 and minimum age limits for candidates appearing in the Combined Civil Services Competitive Examination-2025 will be calculated based on the date of 01.08.2026.
