Online Registration for KMAT 2017 commences today

Karnataka Private Post Graduate Colleges Association (KPPGCA) has announced the date for online registration of KMAT 2017. The online registration will commence from 15 May 2017. All the interested and eligible students can apply for seeking admission in the management colleges of Karnataka through this exam. KMAT is the gateway to more than 169 + AICTE-approved University-affiliated B-schools in Bangalore and Karnataka.

KMAT 2017 is held in more than 10 cities all across the country and is open to candidates from all parts of India and Abroad. It is a paper pencil based conventional test.

Eligibility Criteria for KMAT 2017

  1. For applying to MBA programme a candidate need to have bachelors degree with minimum 3 years duration/ Masters degree examination of any recognised education body in Commerce, Management, Arts, Social Sciences, Engineering/ Technology or equivalent, and have secured at least 50% of marks in the aggregate (45% for SC/ST candidate).
  2. Candidates in their final year of bachelor’s degree are also eligible

How to apply for KMAT 2017

  1. Candidates can apply for KMAT exam through both online and offline mode.
  2. After submitting the form online, the candidate will receive a unique ID after making payment and successful submission of registration form on your registered mail id.
  3. Those who fill offline registration form with demand draft will also receive the unique ID on their registered mail id.

Application fees for KMAT 2017

The interested and eligible candidates can fill up the online registration form and make payment of INR 1000/- online.

KMAT 2017 Syllabus

KMAT exam is a pen-paper based test comprising of 120 Multiple Choice Questions. The exam is divided into three sections namely Verbal Ability & Reading Comprehension, Logical and Abstract Reasoning and Quantitative Ability. The syllabus for KMAT 2017 is as under:

Verbal Ability & Reading Comprehension

English language ability would be tested through questions on Grammar, vocabulary, sentence completion, synonyms, antonyms, comprehension of passages etc. There would be questions on understanding of the contents of the passages and choice of appropriate words, phrases, expressions and similar language skills. This shall include the passages with questions based on their contents to test comprehension.

Logical and Abstract Reasoning
Questions on topics such as Verbal Reasoning, analogy are asked among others.

Quantitative Ability
The questions in this section will be of matriculation standard. This shall include questions to know how fast and accurate you can work with numbers, do numerical calculations, understand various arithmetic problems involving ratio & proportion, percentage, interest, time & speed etc. Apart from Arithmetic, the questions may also be based on Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry and parts of mathematics. This test also helps to measure your power of quantitative reasoning, interpretation of tables, common graphs & charts.
