Eligibility Criteria for Recruitment in Parliament of India (Lok Sabha)
Educational Qualification
- Parliamentary Interpreter Grade II: Master’s degree in English or any other discipline (with English as a medium of instruction) from a recognised university with regional language concerned up to Degree Level. Desirable: Experience in translation or interpretation work. AND Certificate in computer course recognised by AICTE/ DOEACC or courses equivalent to 'O' Level in terms of syllabus and duration of course as prescribed by DOEACC
- Hindi Assistant: Master's degree in Hindi from a recognised university with English as a subject at the Degree Level OR Master's Degree in English from a recognised university with Hindi as a subject at the Degree Level OR Master's Degree in any subject from a recognised university with Hindi and English as subjects at the Degree Level OR Master's Degree in any subject with Hindi medium from a recognised university and English as a subject at the Degree Level OR Master's Degree in any subject with English medium from a recognised university and Hindi as a subject at the Degree Level
Age Limit (as on 27 August 2012)
- Junior Parliamentary Interpreter: Maximum 35 years
- Hindi Assistant: Maximum 27 years
Selection Procedure for Recruitment in Parliament of India (Lok Sabha)
- Junior Parliamentary Interpreter: Candidates will be selected on the basis of Oration Test (200 marks), Written Test (350 marks), Simultaneous Interpretation Test (200 marks), and Interview (50 marks)
- Hindi Assistant: Candidates will be selected on the basis of Prelim Examination (150 marks) and Main Examination (200 marks)
