Prasar Bharti invited application for recruitment to the post of News Readers, Translator, and Transmission Executive. The candidates eligible for the post can apply through prescribed format before 25 August 2013. Prasar Bharti is a statutory autonomous body established under the Prasar Bharti Act and came into existence on 23 November 1997. It is the Public Service Broadcaster of the country. The objectives of public service broadcasting are achieved in terms of Prasar Bharti Act through All India Radio and Doordarshan, which earlier were working as media units under the Ministry of I&B.

Age limit
Candidate age should not less than 21 years as on 30 June 2013.
Educational Qualifications
• English Newsreaders: Candidate must possess Post Graduates with English and Graduates conversant with other Indian Language[s] as may be required for the job and having suitable voice to broadcast. Candidate should be familiar with computer and should have experience in Journalist work in Radio/TV.
• Newsreader-cum-Translator: Candidate must possess Post Graduates with English and Graduates conversant with other Indian Language[s] as may be required for the job and having suitable voice to broadcast. Candidate should be familiar with computer and should have experience in Journalist work in Radio/TV.
• Transmission Executive/Broadcast Executive Grade-I: Candidate must possess Graduation with professional diploma in Radio / TV production with capacity for on panel operation for live production. Candidate should be familiar with computer and should have experience in Journalist work in Radio/TV.
Application Fee
• Candidates belonging to General category will be required to pay processing fee of Rs.300/-
• Candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC category will be required to pay processing fee of Rs.225/-
• These fees should be in the form of bank draft worth the respective amount drawn from any nationalized bank in favour of director General [NEWS] AIR New Delhi payable at New Delhi may be sent along with the application.
Selection Process
The Eligible candidates will be selected on the basis of written examination, voice test and interview.
