Rajasthan Technical University Doctoral Admission Test (RTUDAT) 2013

Rajasthan Technical University (RTU) is one of the leading universities and offers various engineering and management courses at graduate, post graduate and doctoral level. The University invited applications for admission to Ph.D. (Full-time/Part-time) Management programmes in the recognized research centres of RTU Kota through competitive test RTUDAT 2012-13.

 Important Dates

• Deadline for receipt of application forms: 10 January 2013
• Declaration of List of eligible candidates: 15 January 2013
• Date of Examination Paper- I:  21 January 2013
• Date of Examination Paper- II: 22 January 2013
• Display of Merit list: 29 January 2013
• Date of Interview: 4 February 2013
• Declaration of selected candidates: 11 February 2013
• Date of Fee deposition & Joining: 13 February 2013

Eligibility Criteria:

• Aspirants must have cleared master’s Degree in management from any recognized University/Institute or equivalent with at least 60% marks in aggregate (of all years/semesters) or equivalent CGPA grade by AICTE. 5% age relaxation shall be applicable to the candidates belonging to the categories of SC/ST/Physically Handicapped and Visually Impaired.
• In case of Part time candidates, the applicants  must prove to the satisfaction of DRC and fulfil following conditions in addition to the eligibility mentioned above:

(a) Applicants should get the NOC from their employer to devote sufficient time to research.

(b) Moreover, candidates must make sure that facilities for pursuing research are available at the applicant’s parent organization/place of work in the chosen field of research.

(c) Aspirants will have to submit the certificate issued by the parent organization for the period required to fulfil the residential requirement during course work/contact days with supervisor after completion of course work as notified by university from time to time.

Admission Process

• Selection Process: Candidates will get the admission on the basis of marks secured in RTUDAT. The list of selected candidates will be declared on the website of RTU on the specified date and no candidates will be intimated individually about the same.
• Scheme of RTUDAT: The examination will comprise two papers of 300 marks. Paper I of general nature carrying 100 marks shall be conducted in the first session and Paper – II ( subject – specific) shall be held in second session carrying 200 marks.
• Reservation: The reservation in Ph.D. programme will be according to the Rajasthan State Government Reservation Policy. Candidates willing to take admission in OBC/SBC category must have certificate of non creamy layer issued on or after 1 January 2012.
• Scholarships/ assistantships: If any scholarship/assistantship announced, it will be given to a full time Ph D candidate as per the prevailing RTU norms at the time of admission.

Application Fee

The application charge is Rs 500/- (non refundable) and must be paid through a Demand draft in name of Rajasthan Technical University payable at Kota.
