SSC GD Eligibility 2024: The Staff Selection Commission has released the SSC GD Eligibility 2024 along with the official notification. Candidates must carefully review the eligibility criteria before filling out the application form to ensure they meet the requirements for the SSC GD 2024. The SSC GD Eligibility 2024 includes factors like age limit, educational qualification, nationality, physical standard, and the number of attempts.

SSC GD Eligibility 2024

SSC GD Constable eligibility criteria are one of the most important factors that candidates are advised to check. In order to be eligible for the exam, candidates must possess the required qualifications and fall within the age group of 18 to 23 years. Apart from these factors, there are other factors that candidates must be aware of.

SSC GD Eligibility 2024 Nationality

As per the official notification, the candidates must be an Indian citizen or,

  • The subject of Nepal or Bhutan
  • Tibetan refugee who came to India before January 1, 1962, with the intention of permanently settling in India.
  • Person of Indian Origin (PIO) who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, or Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.

SSC GD Age Limit

This is one of the most important criteria that candidates must fulfil. They must fall within the age limit of 18 to 23 years, which means they must not be born later than 01.09.2005. The commission will consider the date of birth mentioned on the Matriculation/Secondary exam certificate. Additionally, a 3-year age relaxation will be given to all categories. This implies that candidates should not have been born earlier than January 2, 1997, to avail it.

SSC GD Qualification

This is another pivotal criterion that candidates must meet. According to the official notification, all candidates who have passed class 10th or Matriculation from a recognised board are eligible to apply for SSC GD 2024 exam. Those who are yet to appear for the final exam are not qualified to apply for it.

SSC GD Constable: Number of Attempts

There is no set limit on the number of attempts. As long as candidates fulfil the SSC GD age limit criterion, they can apply for the SSC GD exam.

SSC GD Physical Eligibility

Candidates who are interested in applying for GD Constable are required to fulfil some specific physical criteria in order to be eligible to get recruited as General Duty Constables (GD) in BSF, CISF, CRPF, SSB, ITBP, AR and SSF.
