• Attendant-cum-Technician Trainee: 525 vacancies (across various disciplines)

Eligibility Criteria for recruitment in Steel Authority of India Limited

Educational Qualification

• Operator-cum-Technician Trainee: Matriculation with three years full time Diploma in Engineering in one of the following disciplines (Metallurgy/Chemical/ Ceramics/ Mechanical/ Electrical/ Instrumentation/ Civil/ Electronics). Diploma should be from a Govt. Recognized Institute.
• Attendant-cum-Technician Trainee: Matric & ITI (Full time) in the trade of Fitter/ Electrician/ Welder/ Machinist/ Turner/ Instrumentation/ Electronics/ Refrigeration & AC/ Diesel Mechanic.

Age Limit (Maximum 1 October 2011): Minimum 18 years; Maximum 28 years

Pay Scale

• Operator-cum-Technician Trainee: Rs 9160-3%-13150 (S-3)
• Attendant-cum-Technician Trainee: Rs 8630-3%-12080 (S-1)

Stipend

• Operator-cum-Technician Trainee: During the training period of two years, a consolidated stipend of Rs 8,250 per training period month will be paid during 1st year and Rs 9,350 per month during 2nd year. On successful completion of training period, they will be absorbed in regular grade.
• Attendant-cum-Technician Trainee: During the training period of two years a consolidated stipend of Rs 6,600 per training period month will be paid during 1st year and Rs 7,700 per month during 2nd year. On successful completion of training period, they will be absorbed in regular grade.

Application Fee: Application fee for General and OBC category candidate is Rs 250 and candidates belonging to SC/ ST/ PWD/ ESM category will be required to pay processing fee of Rs 50.

Application fees needs to be paid in the form of bank challan available on the Application Registration Portal and approach a branch of SBI for depositing the fee. State Bank of India (SBI) has been authorised to collect the application/ processing fee in a specially opened Account No. 31955226331 at SBI, RSP Campus Branch, Rourkela, on behalf of SAIL/RSP.
