UP Board Class 12 Agricultural Chemistry Syllabus 2024-25: Students must be aware that the Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UPMSP) has released the syllabus for classes 9-12 on its official website, upmsp.edu.in. For the convenience of students, we have provided the syllabus for Class 12 Agricultural Chemistry in this article. Students can download it in the form of a free PDF. Agricultural Chemistry is the study of chemistry with respect to the agricultural domain.

In Agricultural Chemistry, students study the various chemical properties of agricultural products as well as the processes ongoing in the soil. According to the syllabus provided by the Board, the question paper for Agricultural Chemistry will be divided into three parts- physical chemistry, inorganic chemistry and organic chemistry.

UP Board Class 12 Agricultural Chemistry Subject Structure

The physical chemistry section will include topics such as physical and chemical changes, rules of chemical combination, atomic composition and radioactivity. Inorganic chemistry will consist of suitability of water for irrigation purposes, study of nitrogen, ammonia, carbon dioxide, sulphur dioxide, chlorine etc.

Topics covered in organic chemistry will be definition and importance of organic chemistry, composition and origin of organic compounds and others. Students should note that they have to pay equal attention to the external and internal assessments as both carry a weightage of 25 marks. The components of external examination are- inorganic physical and qualitative analysis (6 marks), identification of organic compounds (5 marks), practitioner titration (6 marks) and oral test (8 marks).

The internal assessment will include reduction, oxidation and titration of chemicals (10 marks), project work (8 marks) and exercise textbook (7 marks).
