    The Union Public Service Commission invited application for recruitment to various posts. The candidates eligible for the post can apply through prescribed format before 27 June 2013. The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) is India's central agency authorized to conduct the Civil Services Examination, Engineering Services Examination, Combined Defence Services Examination, National Defence Academy Examination, Naval Academy Examination and Combined Medical Services Examination.

    Age limit

    • Candidates upper age limit should not be exceed 50 years for post no. 18
    • Candidates upper age limit should not be exceed 45 years for post no. 10, 11, 12 & 13
    • Candidates upper age limit should not be exceed 40 years for post no. 22, 25, 28, 29 & 32
    • Candidates upper age limit should not be exceed 38 years for post no. 4
    • Candidates upper age limit should not be exceed 35 years for post no. 1, 5, 14, 16, 17, 19, 20, 21, 23, 24, 26, 27, 30, 31, 33, 34, 35, 36 & 37

    Educational Qualification

    1)      Extension Officer: Master Degree in Agriculture/Agricultural Extension/ any of the Agricultural Sciences or equivalent or MBA with B.Sc. (Agriculture) or equivalent or Master Degree in Rural Management.

    2)      Economic Officer: Post Graduate Degree in Economics or Applied Economics or Business Economics or Econometrics.

    3)      Company Prosecutor: Degree in Law from a recognized University or Institution.

    4)      Assistant Professor in Computer Science: (i) Good academic record with at least 55% marks or an equivalent grade of B in the 7 point scale with letter grades O,A, B, C, D, E and F at the Master's Degree level in Computer Science or an equivalent degree from a foreign university. (ii) Should have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) for Assistant Professors conducted by the University Grants Commission or Council for Scientific and Industrial Research or similar test accredited by the University Grants Commission.

    5)      Assistant Professor in Political Science: (i) Good academic record with at least 55% marks or an equivalent grade of B in the 7 point scale with letter grades O,A, B, C, D, E and F at the Master's Degree level in Political Science or an equivalent degree from a foreign university. (ii) Should have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) for Assistant Professors conducted by the University Grants Commission or Council for Scientific and Industrial Research or similar test accredited by the University Grants Commission.

    6)      Junior Works Manager (Chemical): M.Sc. in Chemistry or Degree in Chemical Engineering/Technology or equivalent.

    7)      Junior Works Manager (Electrical): Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.

    8)      Junior Works Manager (Mechanical): Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.

    9)      Junior Scientific Officer (Explosives): Master's Degree in Chemistry / Forensic Science with Chemistry as one of the subjects at Bachelor of Science level.

    10)  Assistant Professor (Medicine): (I) A recognized medical qualification included in the First or the Second Schedule or Part-II of the Third Schedule (other than licentiate qualifications) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. Holders of educational qualifications included in Part-II of the Third Schedule should also fulfill the conditions stipulated in sub-section (3) of section 13 of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. (II) Post Graduate degree qualification in the concerned speciality i.e. M D(General), M.D. (General Medicine), M.D.(Med. & Therapeutics), M.R.C.P., Speciality Board of Internal Medicine(USA) or equivalent.

    11)  Assistant Professor (Obestetrics and Gynaecology): (I) A recognized medical qualification included in the First or the Second Schedule or Part-II of the Third Schedule (other than licentiate qualifications) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. Holders of educational qualifications included in Part-II of the Third Schedule should also fulfill the conditions stipulated in sub-section (3) of section 13 of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. (II) Post Graduate degree qualification in the concerned speciality i.e. M D (Obstt. & Gyane), M.S.(Obstt. & Gynae), M.D.(Mid. & Gynae.), M.S.(Mid. & Gynae), M.O. M.R.C.O.G., Speciality Board of Obstetrics & Gynaecology (USA) or equivalent.

    12)  Assistant Professor (Paediatrics):  (I) A recognized medical qualification included in the First or the Second Schedule or Part-II of the Third Schedule (other than licentiate qualifications) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. Holders of educational qualifications included in Part-II of the Third Schedule should also fulfill the conditions stipulated in sub-section (3) of section 13 of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. (II) Post Graduate degree qualification in the concerned speciality i.e. M D (Paediatrics) or equivalent.

    13)  Assistant Professor (Psychiatry): (I) A recognized medical qualification included in the First or the Second Schedule or Part-II of the Third Schedule (other than licentiate qualifications) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. Holders of educational qualifications included in Part-II of the Third Schedule should also fulfill the conditions stipulated in sub-section (3) of section 13 of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. (II) Post Graduate degree qualification in the concerned speciality i.e. M D (Psychiatry), M.D.(Psychological Medicine), Speciality Board of Psychiatry and Neurology(USA), DPM of two years course, Diploma in Psychiatry (Edin) of two years course, Diploma in Psychiatry (Mc Gill) University, Montreal, Canada of two years course or equivalent.

    14)  Medical Officer/Research Officer (Ayurveda): (i) A Degree in Ayurveda of a Recognised University/Statutory State Board/Council/Faculty of Indian Medicine or equivalent Recognised under the Indian Medicine Central Council Act, 1970(48 0f 1970). (ii) Enrolment on the Central Register of Indian Medicine or State Register of Indian Medicine.

    15)  Labour Enforcement Officer (Central): i) Degree in Commerce or Degree with Economics/Sociology/Social Work as one of the subjects from a recognised University or equivalent. ii)Post-Graduate Degree/Diploma in Law, Labour Relations, Labour Welfare, Labour Laws, Sociology, Commerce, Social Work/Welfare, Business Administration, Personnel Management or any other allied subject relating to labour or equivalent.

    16)  Assistant Executive Engineer (Civil):  Degree in Civil Engineering.

    17)  Assistant Director Grade-II (Non-Technical): Degree of a recognised University or equivalent.

    18)  Principal: Doctoral Degree with 55% marks in Master's Degree or equivalent.

    19)  Assistant Professor (Chemistry): Good Academic record with at least 55% of the marks or an equivalent grade of B in the 7 point scale with letter grades system of O,A,B,C,D,E and F at the Master's Degree level in Chemistry from an Indian University or an equivalent degree from a Foreign University.

    20)  Assistant Professor (Commerce): Good Academic record with at least 55% of the marks or an equivalent grade of B in the 7 point scale with letter from an Indian University or an equivalent degree from a Foreign University.

    21)  Assistant Professor (Dance): Good Academic record with at least 55% of the marks or an equivalent grade of B in the 7 point scale with letter grades system of O,A,B,C,D,E and F at the Master's Degree level in Dance from an Indian University or an equivalent degree from a Foreign University.

    22)  Assistant Professor (Defence Studies): Good Academic record with at least 55% of the marks or an equivalent grade of B in the 7 point scale with letter grades system of O,A,B,C,D,E and F at the Master's Degree level in Defence Studies from an Indian University or an equivalent degree from a Foreign University.

    23)  Assistant Professor (Economics): Good Academic record with at least 55% of the marks or an equivalent grade of B in the 7 point scale with letter grades system of O,A,B,C,D,E and F at the Master's Degree level in Economics from an Indian University or an equivalent degree from a Foreign University.

    24)  Assistant Professor (English): Good Academic record with at least 55% of the marks or an equivalent grade of B in the 7 point scale with letter grades system of O,A,B,C,D,E and F at the Master's Degree level in English from an Indian University or an equivalent degree from a Foreign University.

    25)  Assistant Professor (French): Good Academic record with at least 55% of the marks or an equivalent grade of B in the 7 point scale with letter grades system of O,A,B,C,D,E and F at the Master's Degree level in French from an Indian University or an equivalent degree from a Foreign University.

    26)  Assistant Professor (Geography): Good Academic record with at least 55% of the marks or an equivalent grade of B in the 7 point scale with letter grades system of O,A,B,C,D,E and F at the Master's Degree level in Geography from an Indian University or an equivalent degree from a Foreign University.

    27)  Assistant Professor (Hindi): Good Academic record with at least 55% of the marks or an equivalent grade of B in the 7 point scale with letter grades system of O,A,B,C,D,E and F at the Master's Degree level in Hindi from an Indian University or an equivalent degree from a Foreign University.

    28)  Assistant Professor (History): Good Academic record with at least 55% of the marks or an equivalent grade of B in the 7 point scale with letter grades system of O,A,B,C,D,E and F at the Master's Degree level in History from an Indian University or an equivalent degree from a Foreign University.

    29)  Assistant Professor (Home Science): Good Academic record with at least 55% of the marks or an equivalent grade of B in the 7 point scale with letter grades system of O,A,B,C,D,E and F at the Master's Degree level in Home Science from an Indian University or an equivalent degree from a Foreign University.

    30)  Assistant Professor (Philosophy): Good Academic record with at least 55% of the marks or an equivalent grade of B in the 7 point scale with letter grades system of O,A,B,C,D,E and F at the Master's Degree level in Philosophy from an Indian University or an equivalent degree from a Foreign University.

    • Rs.15,600-39,100 (PB-3) + Rs.6,600 (Grade pay) + NPA as admissible (T.E. Rs.39,960/-), Central Health Service, Teaching specialist sub-cadre, Group 'A', Gazetted, Non-Ministerial for posts Nos.10,11,12 & 13.

    Application Fee

    • Candidates are required to pay a fee of Rs. 25/- (Rupees Twenty five) only either by remitting the money in any branch of the SBI by cash or by using net banking facility of the SBI or by using visa/master credit/debit card.
    • No fee for SC/ST/PH/Women candidates of any community. No "fee exemption" is available to OBC male candidates and they are required to pay the full prescribed fee.

    Selection Process

    Candidates will be selected on the basis of performance in written examination/ interview.

    How to Apply

    • Eligible candidates may apply online through the website www.upsconline.nic.in website on or before 27 June 2013.
    • Applications received through any other mode would not be accepted and summarily rejected.
    • Candidates who wish to apply for more than one post should apply separately for each post and pay the fee for each post in the prescribed manner.
    • After submitting the Online Recruitment Application (ORA), the candidates are required to take out a print out of the finally submitted Online Recruitment Application before 28 June 2013.
    • Candidates are not required to submit to the Commission either by post or by hand the printouts of their online applications or any other document. They will be required to bring along with them the printouts of their online applications and the documents if called for interview.
