Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) issued notification for Engineering Services Examination 2013 for filling up 763 Engineering vacancies in various departments of Government Organizations The combined recruitment examination will be held on 28 June 2013. Age Limit (as on 1 January 2013):
Minimum: 21 years
Maximum: 30 years for attending the exam.
[Upper age limit relax-able by 3 years for OBC candidates and by 5 years for SC / ST candidates.]
Educational Qualifications: Engineering Graduate OR the candidate must have passed sections A & B of the Institution Examinations of the Institution of Engineers (India) or obtained a Degree/Diploma in Engineering from foreign University or passed Graduate Membership Exam of the Institute of Electronics & Telecommunication Engineers (India) or passed Associate Membership Exam Art II & III of the Aeronautical Society or passed Graduate Membership Exam of the Institute if Electronics & Radio Engineers, London held after 1959.
Application Fee: Non-refundable application fee of Rs.200 has to be paid either by depositing the money in any branch of SBI by cash or by using net banking facility of SBI / State Bank of Bikaner & Jaipur / State Bank of Hyderabad / Mysore / Patiala / Travancore or by using any Visa / Master Credit / Debit Card.
Female, SC / ST / PWD / candidates are exempted from payment of fees.
Selection Procedure: Final selection will be done on the basis of candidates’ performance in Written Test (Objective type and conventional type) followed by Interview.
Verification of documents will be taken up for only those candidates who qualify for Interview / Personality test.
E-admission certificates for eligible candidates will be made available on the UPSC website three weeks before the commencement of the exam.
Note: There will be penalty (Negative Marking) for wrong answers marked by a candidate in the Objective Type Question Papers.
Candidates qualifying in the written examination will have to fill in a Detailed Application Form subsequently as per the instructions to be provided to the candidates through the Commission‘s website
How to Apply: Interested eligible candidates can apply online through UPSC website till 6 May 2013, after which the link will be disabled. The candidates should log on and select ‘Online Application for Various Examinations of UPSC’ link. On-line Application is in two parts -- Part-I, and Part-II.
After filling in the Part-I of the Registration form, a Registration ID will be generated by the system. Candidates should retain this for future reference. Before heading for Part-II registration, candidates will be required to deposit the required fee through desired mode – by cash or Net-banking or credit / debit card.
They should also keep scanned copies of their photo and signature ready before applying.
After depositing the fee, candidates should re-login using Registration Number and Date of Birth and complete Part-II registration, click on ‘Submit’ button and take a print out of the successfully submitted online application form and retain it for future reference.
All candidates are required to provide valid active E-Mail I.D. while filling up the Online Application Form as the Commission will use electronic mode for contacting them at different stages of examination process. Candidates are advised to check their emails at regular intervals for any update.
NOTE: Candidates should avoid submitting multiple applications. However, if due to any unavoidable circumstances, any candidate submits multiple applications then he/she must ensure that the applications with higher RID is complete in all respects , as the Commission will entertain applications with higher RID as final application made by the candidate.
No certificates / mark sheets are required to be uploaded along with the 'online application form'.
