Uttar Pradesh State Entrance Examination (UPSEE):
About:
Uttar Pradesh State Entrance Examination (UPSEE), formerly known as UPSEAT, is an annual entrance examination for admission in engineering, architecture, pharmacy and management courses of various colleges of Uttar Pradesh. The exam is conducted by the Gautam uddha Technical University. All institutions affiliated to Gautam Buddha Technical University admit students through centralized counselling of UPSEE. The private institutions may, however, admit 15% of the total intake directly.

Exam pattern:

• There is no negative marking in UPSEE. Questions will be multiple-choice type.  The language of the UPSEE question paper will be in English and Hindi.
• Paper-1 is for the engineering aspirants and will have 50 questions each from Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
• Paper-2 is for Biotechnology aspirants and will have 50 questions each from Physics, Chemistry and Biology.
• The overall duration of the paper will be 3 hours. The total number of questions asked in the exam will be 150 and the total marks of the paper will be 600.

Eligibility:

• Candidates should have passed Intermediate from UP Board or 10+2 examination from a recognized Board or University.
• Candidates must have passed the qualifying examination with a minimum aggregate of 45% (40% for SC/ST) in the concerned subjects.
• They must have studied Physics, Mathematics as compulsory subjects with Chemistry/ Bio-Technology / Biology / Technical Vocational  as the optional subject
• Candidates must have passed the qualifying exam without any grace marks.

How to apply:
The candidates can apply through online and Offline mode. To apply online, a candidate has to visit the official website of the UPSEE. To apply offline candidates can buy UPSEE Application Form through the head post offices of the state.
