The National Cadet Corps (NCC) celebrated its 62nd NCC Establishment Day on 21 November 2010 in Bhubaneswar. The cheif guest for the occasion was Orissa’s governor M.C. Bhandare. Around 300 cadets, divided into 10 contingents, took part in a parade. The celebration was complete with activities like standing on a horse and saluting, tent pegging and jumping on fire while a micro-light aircraft hovered over the ground. On this occasion the title of Col. commandant was conferred upon Binayak Rath, vice-chancellor of Utkal University for his contribution and support to NCC. The day ended with the recitation of the national anthem and NCC song Hum Sab Bharatiya Hain. Bhandare.
