Amit Mathew elected as chairman of Audit Bureau of Circulations

Amit Mathew on 22 September 2014 was unanimously elected as Chairman of Audit Bureau of Circulations (ABC) for the year 2014-15.

Amit Mathew on 22 September 2014 was unanimously elected as Chairman of Audit Bureau of Circulations (ABC) for the year 2014-15. He is the resident editor and director of Malyala Manorama.

In addition to Mathews, Shashidhar Sinha was elected as the deputy chairman of the ABC for the 2014-15. Shashidhar Sinha is the CEO (India) of IPG Mediabrands and represents the advertising agencies of the Council.

The other members of the Bureau's Council of Management for the year 2014-2015 are: Shailesh Gupta (Jagran Prakashan Ltd), Aritra Sarkar (ABP Pvt. Ltd), I Venkat (Ushodaya Enterprises Ltd.), Hormusji N Cama (The Bombay Samachar Pvt Ltd), Devendra V Darda (Lokmat Media Pvt Ltd), Sanjeev Vohra (Bennett, Coleman & Co Ltd) and Benoy Roychowdhury (HT Media Ltd).
Also, Hormuzd Masani would be the Secretary General of the ABC.

The Audit Bureau of Circulations (ABC) of India is a non-profit circulation-auditing organization. The ABC is a not for profit organization. It was founded in 1948.

It certifies and audits the circulations of major publications, including newspapers and magazines in India.

The organisation consists of Publishers, Advertisers and Advertising Agencies. It has done pioneering work in developing audit procedures to verify the circulation data published by those newspapers and periodicals which have earned the right to display its emblem.
