In a newly released statement issued by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting on September 25, India has surpassed Japan to reach the third spot as the world's most powerful nation in the Asia Power Index.
However, there is one country that even though is not a part of Asia but holds most power in the continent. The country is United States, with the highest score of 81.7.
US: Country With Most Influence in Asia
In the latest released report, United States emerged as the most influential country in the Asia continent, floowed by China with a score of 72.7.
What is interesting to note is that United States is not a part of the continent yet is on the top of the list, surpassing major countries like China and India. China may be becoming more powerful, but the United States still commands the most influence in Asia. According to the research, the US leads China in six of the eight major categories, such as diplomatic clout, cultural reach, and economic prowess. However, as China quickly modernizes and increases its ability to project influence regionally, the US is falling behind in terms of military prowess.
