A fiction book titled A Kingdom For His Love was launched in February 2016 by Amar Chitra Katha (ACK). The book is co-authored by Vani Mahesh and Shinie Antony.

The authors through the book want to retell the Sanskrit play 'Swapnavasavadattam', by one of the earliest and most celebrated playwrights Bhasa. It is an immersive novel about two people coming together against all odds for the sake of true love.

The book is the first romance fiction published by the comic book publisher after it announced the launch of ACK Stories Alive imprint recently. Over all it is the second novel after the first novel 'Counter Theft' was published in July 2015.

The story explores the timeless romance of King Udayana and princess Vasavadatta from rival kingdoms set in an ancient era. Udayana, the ruler of Kausambi renowned for his magical Veena, Ghoshavati, which when played by him can subdue even the wildest creature is tricked and captured by members of the rival kingdom Ujjaini.

Udayana falls in love with beautiful princess Vasavadatta of Ujjaini. Being from rival kingdoms, they have to overcome the enmity between two kingdoms to be together.
