Jammu and Kashmir Assembly Elections 2024: Check Full Schedule and Details

It has been almost five years since the Modi government removed the special status granted to the state of Jammu and Kashmir under Article 370. Election Commission has finally announced the dates for the election of new government in Jammu and Kashmir. 

The information regarding the election was shared by the Chief Election Commissioner Rajiv Kumar, while he was addressing the media in New Delhi. As per the announcement the election in the Union Territory will be held in three phases.

Jammu and Kashmir Assembly Seat Distribution

Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir consists of 90 assembly seats, out of which 16 seats are reserved for SC/ST community.

Haryana Assemble Election Schedule

Along with the election Jammu and Kashmir, the Election Commission of India has also announced elections in the state of Haryana. 

As per the notification, the elections in Haryana will be conducted in single phase.Check the table below to know the schedule of the Haryana elections:

Currently there is no local government in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir. With the successful completion of the assembly elections, Jammu and Kashmir will get its first state government after being divided in 2019. The results for both Jammu and Kashmir and Haryana will be announced on October 4.
