India's women's hockey team displayed a stellar performance in the Women's Asian Champions Trophy 2024 and retained its title by defeating China 1-0 in the final. During the match, Deepika scored the decisive goal in the 31st minute. Also, Deepika was the top scorer of the tournament with 11 goals.

Recently, the South American country Ecuador has declared a state of emergency in the country due to forest fire and water shortage. The state of emergency approved by the Ministry of Environment will last for 60 days. Ecuador is facing its worst drought in six decades.

SECI (Solar Energy Corporation of India) has signed an MoU with H2Global Stiftung to promote Green Hydrogen initiative. SECI Director (Solar), Sanjay Sharma and H2Global Executive Director, Dr. Susana Moreira signed the MoU.

The Asian Development Bank (ADB) recently approved a $200 million policy-based loan to Sri Lanka to support financial sector reforms. This loan has been given under ADB's Financial Sector Stability and Reform Program. Let us tell you that ADB was established in the year 1966 and its headquarters is in Manila, Philippines.

Dominica President Sylvanie Berton recently honoured PM Modi with the country's highest honour, the 'Dominica Award of Honour', for helping Dominica during the Covid-19 pandemic. This honour was given during the second India-CARICOM summit in Georgetown, Guyana.
