1. (a) Dhirendra's Ojha

Senior Indian Information Service (IIS) officer Dhirendra K Ojha has been appointed as the chief spokesperson of the Central Government. Ojha, a 1990 batch officer, will also hold the charge of Principal Director General of Press Information Bureau.

2. (a) BPCL

Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) has recently signed an agreement with the Indian Olympic Association (IOA) as the Official Principal Partner from Paris Olympics '24 to Los Angeles 2028 Olympics. IOA President P.T Usha has thanked BPCL for this partnership.

3. (c) LIC

Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) has recently launched this new initiative 'Jeevan Samarth'. For this, LIC has partnered with a global consulting firm which will assist in this initiative on an end-to-end basis. The present Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of LIC is Siddhartha Mohanty.

4. (b) Labour Party

The Labour Party is heading towards a landslide victory in the UK parliamentary elections. Labour Party leader Keir Starmer is set to become Britain's next Prime Minister by defeating outgoing Prime Minister Rishi Sunak's Conservative Party. In the results so far, the Labor Party has won 326 out of 650 seats.

5. (b) Punjab and Haryana High Court

President Draupadi Murmu has recently appointed Madhya Pradesh High Court Judge Sheel Nagu as the Chief Justice of Punjab and Haryana High Court. His tenure will start from the date he assumes charge.   

6. (a) Hemant Soren

After a gap of five months, Hemant Soren has been sworn in again as the Chief Minister of Jharkhand. The ruling coalition party led by Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) had handed over the command of the state to Champai Soren after the arrest of Hemant Soren by the Enforcement Directorate.
